- 300 dpi image will be more clearer than 72 dpi image because 300 dpi image would have more pixels than 72 dpi image.
- The picture created at 1 dpi cannot be seen because the picture will be very blurry.

a) What quailities of your magazine cover make it effective?
What makes my magazine cover effective is that the bright colours and bold letters I used. Secondly it describes the bollywood stardust awards ceremony 2007 which took place in Amsterdam. The bollywood actress shilpa shetty holding an award, which describes the awards ceremony. Even the other two bollywood actresses:
(i) beautiful and talented amrita roy
(ii) the bollywood queen aishwariya bachhan
which is really eye catching.
The text on the cover is easy to read and straight forward.
b) What was the order of hierarchy you were trying to acheive for the elements on your magazine cover?
The order of hierarchy that I was trying to achieve was
(i) the title
(ii) the featured story lines
(iii) shilpa’s image holding an award in her hand
(iv) the winners of stardust awards -2007

a) Modify> Expand- It expands the image(selected image) by the number of pixels choosen.
b) Modify> Contract- It shortens the image by the number of pixels choosen.
1) For the combination tools I used the magnetic lasso tool and magic wand tool.
I used the magnetic lasso tool to clear most of the background.
I used the magic wand tool to clear the remaining portion.
2) I found the magnetic lasso tool the most efficient. It is also used to clear the background.
3) The feathering tool shrinks the image and adds a cool feathering affect on the image.
