a) What is the feeling you wanted your gum package to portray? How did you achieve this?
The feeling I wanted my gum package to portray was to give a cool mint flavor to my main target audience. I achieved this by adding pictures of mint leaves and other mint powder used in its process in order to give a mint flavored effect on my gum package.
b) Who are you targeting your gum to? How did you achieve this?
I am targeting this gum to teenagers as well as the adults. I achieved this by adding a background of mint leaves and high-lighting the central mint leaves. Besides all this the green colored effect to my gum package is symbolism because it signifies the mint.
c) What area in your design did you use Photoshop?
I used Photoshop to format and transform my pictures, else I used illustrator for writing the text.
d)More marks are given to designs that are custom created and not just taken from free vectors or free stock photography. What part of your gum package did you custom design?
The part which I custom designed is the “S”.

a) What does your logo/tattoo represent?
My logo represents the Indian “National Institute of Design.”
b) How did you design your logo/tattoo to represent this?
The process of designing this logo is as follows:
1. Firstly it was sketched on a paper and scanned further in order to design it in an illustrator.
2. I applied light and dark coloured brushes to make the design boundaries look different.
3. I used different brushes to give an attractive look and the name of the logo is fixed in such a way that it stays in a specific design path.

1. What happens when you paint part of the layer mask…black? …white? …grey?
When I painted the part of the layer mask black, then the picture is visible.
When I painted the part of layer mask white then the original picture appears.
When I painted the part of layer mask grey, then we can partially see both the pictures i.e the image is transparent.

· In this picture, I am trying to express happiness in my life. I acheived this by giving a calm and peaceful effect.(eg: the flowers)
· The importance of happiness in life, especially for those people, who never achieve happiness are the ones who complain whenever they’re awake, and whenever they’re asleep, they are thinking about what to complain about tomorrow.
· I used filter>(i) filter gallery >texture>grain. Then I changed the intensity and contrast as required.
· (ii) filter>digimare>embeded watermark.
· (iii) filter>blur for the entire white spots.
· I also used: layer>layer style>opacity and fill opacity in order to reflect on the flowers.
· I used assorted brushes in order to highlight some borders/lines in between the colours.

· For getting left eye I copy-pasted the right eye to replace the missing one. After moving the eye to the other side, I had to invert and then free transform it, in order make it look realistic!

· For the part on the newspaper where I copy pasted the background.
· It was quite tricky getting Patty’s face, i.e identical to other half.
For replacing the missing part I did the following:
1. Copy paste the background and quite of Patty’s face.
2. Free transformed and invert it.
3. Rotate the face in order to set in right position.
4. Use blur and burn tool to soften the edges of face and neck and make it smooth.
5. I coloured corrected it in some part where needed, which makes it look real!

1) How did you enjoy the film? What stood out for you?
I really enjoyed the film because in this film, it shows the feelings of children born in brothels and the way they were brought up. It was impossible for them to fulfill their dreams. The life they lived was miserable. The children still tried to find happiness in their sorrowfull lives. Zana set out a goal in trying her best in helping those innocent children and help them bringing their dreams come true. Zana also help those kids discovering their talent, about which they were not aware of!
2) Did you learn anything new about photography, life, people? What?
The thing I learned about photography is that it shows the reality and explains the meaning. We can see their inner feelings in those pictures. They all had some or the other way of expressing their feelings and were also smart.
3) How do you think the world needs to change?
The world needs to change in terms of respect, crime and the way people don’t care about others. Better help should be given to people in need. Still there are many countries were people don’t get enough food, shelter and they live a really miserable life. Those people must also be provided with better education and health facilities. If they live in bad environment then that would affect their health. As it is said that “Health is Wealth”. Toady people don’t care about others feelings. There should be no discrimination against race, colour and caste, because all are equal and no one has the right to make decisions for others.
4) What are you willing to do TODAY to be a part of that change?
In today’s society I am willing to donate money in a charity and also help poor people.
Besides all this I want to keep the environment clean and green.
5) Do you know a good song/rap/poem withgood lyrics about change in the world?
Post a link or lyrics to share it with us…(see below)
P o e m s o n c h a n g e b y S r I C h I n m o y

If not, you will suffer.
Change! Change!
You will prosper.
Brave, brave the old!
If not, you will die.
Brave, brave the new!
You will fly.
~
WELCOME CHANGE
Don’t resist;
Be flexible.
Don’t be rigid;
Be supple.
Welcome change!
Each change
Is an illumining opportunity
To knock at the door
Of fulfilling progress sweet.
~
Change yourself slowly
And cheerfully.
Conditions will change immediately
And unimaginably.
~
The mind thinks
That any change
Is painful.
The heart feels
That any change
Is powerful.
~
Change your attitude!
Lo, look what stands before you:
Plenitude!
~
Change your mind
If you do not want anybody
To bind your life.
~
Not because you are clothed
In a frail body,
But because of your obdurate
Unwillingness to change,
Your life is a misery-haunted house.
The entire world may not change. The entire world cannot change. The entire world even will not change. But your tiny world you can and will change forever at this very moment with the help of your confidence-heart. Yours will be the unparalleled victory.
6) Pick a non-profit organization that is important to you. Why is this important to you?
Do they have a website?
http://plancanada.ca/NETCOMMUNITY/Page.aspx?pid=714&srcid=714&gclid=CLjk1f2zsZECFUWoGgod2jULdw.
We can collect some photos and try to make money of them and donate the money to these organizations
